About Australian Reptile Park

The Australian Reptile Park began in 1958 when naturalist Eric Worrell had the idea of combining snake venom production with tourism. His high public profile benefited from his many publications and television documentaries that helped make this park what it is today a place where people can learn more about Australia's native reptiles while having fun experiencing their captivating beauty up close!

The Australian Reptile Park is an unforgettable experience for any animal lover. Home to over 2,000 animals and located in a natural bush setting on the scenic Central Coast of New South Wales with its hands-on exhibits showcasing some very exciting experiences including holding Australia's first “Brett" snake (a deadly Python), cuddling up to koalas or kangaroos while you enjoy our expertly trained staff members answering all your questions about what it takes to make this institution so successful - only 60 minutes from Sydney/Newcastle!

What to do in Australian Reptile Park

The Australian Reptile Park is the best place to see kangaroos in Australia! You can feed them, meet Hugo the giant Galapagos tortoise on his daily walk through our free-range area and have a close encounter with koalas at their photo sessions. We also showcase other native species such as reptiles that are found nowhere else like Crankiest Croc or Lost World of Sarovar island resorts along side exotic companions including pythons & crocodiles - all right here waiting for you!.

You can also see some amazing wildlife such as dingoes ( ductors ), and quokkas(pronounced “kwee zeaks”) that live in this collection; they're small native mammals found all over Australia but not too many people know much about them because most don't have any fur--but have skin rather.

Visit Spider World to see a funnel-web spider milking and check out Tarantulaville - home of some huge spiders!
You can also go behind the scenes at Australian Reptile Park with their private tour or zoo keeper programs.
