Keralas Cochin International Airport – which claims to be the first in the world to run entirely on solar energy – put 452 kWp into operation floating PV system.

The array of two artificial lakes on the 130 hectare airport golf course covers one hectare of the water surface.

The installation takes up the solar energy capacity of the airport 40 MWp, which contributes to producing around 160 MWh per day with a daily consumption of around 130 MWh, announced the airport.
